American Mothers, Inc.® has been an influence in my life for over 32 years. As a young mother I became a part of a

chapter group. Every month I gained confidence in my parenting from my peers and learned how to strengthen my family in many ways. When I became a member of the Arizona state board, I was mentored by more experienced mothers, not only in leadership skills, but also in mothering skills. As a member of the National board, I developed personal skills and traits that enhanced my abilities as a leader. These same skills and traits helped me in teaching and training my children to become service-minded teenagers so they could become contributing members of their communities.
Although AMI has something for everyone, its most important role is “mothers helping mothers strengthen families.” Mothers of all ages participate in AMI and freely share their experiences and love of mothering. This network of mothers can become a safety net for you in this world of uncertainty; when basic values and principles are being diluted. There are thousands of mothers who share your desire to strengthen and support their families. AMI is the place for you.
Our
AMI Pledge outlines many of the basic principles on which this great nation was founded. During my term as National President, we will focus on these and other basic principles and character values in the hopes that sharing these with you will help you in teaching and strengthening your families. We invite you to share your thoughts and experiences with us so we can, in turn, share them with other mothers who can learn from them.
Although these lessons are available through the AMI website, we invite you to join with us, become a member of AMI, so that together we can have a greater influence on more mothers.
I look forward to working together as we become a more dedicated force of “mothers helping mothers strengthen families.”
